Mission IS Possible (MIP) is a youth-led, community-driven nonprofit founded in 2005 that believes — in all places, at all times — mission is always possible. Over the past two decades, MIP has engaged more than 8,500 volunteers and logged over 20,000 hours of service, making a lasting impact right here in the local community.
MIP brings people together through several meaningful programs. The Birthday Club hosts monthly open gym events where children with different abilities are celebrated with cake, presents, pizza, and active playtime — all free of charge, and open to siblings too. The Shining Stars Cheer Team gives special athletes the full cheerleading experience, from camp and practices to real uniforms and performances at venues like the GHSA State Cheerleading Championship. Through Team MIP, young people are empowered to lead community service efforts, living out the MIP motto of “one heart out, one hand up.”
At its core, MIP is about showing up WITH people — not just for them — offering respect, dignity, connection, and encouragement to those who need it most.
