Hot Shots Cheerleading has been a staple in the Rome, Georgia community since 1999, offering a comprehensive program designed for athletes of all ages and ability levels. The gym operates under the philosophy that every child can be a star through developmentally appropriate training, whether they are just beginning with basic body awareness or are ready for elite competition. Their extensive facility features specialized equipment like in-ground trampolines, a bungee pit, and multiple dedicated training gyms to ensure safety and rapid skill progression. Beyond technical cheer skills, the program emphasizes investing in the lives of young people and their families, fostering a supportive environment that prepares athletes for success in middle school, high school, and collegiate cheerleading.

The non-travel teams at Hot Shots Cheerleading provide a competitive experience for athletes as young as four years old without the extensive travel or financial requirements of the national circuit. These teams focus on building core skills such as stunting, tumbling, and performance to help prepare members for future cheerleading at the middle school, high school, or collegiate levels. While they train year-round in the same facility as the travel teams, they participate in local competitions rather than traveling to regional or national events.

The travel teams at Hot Shots Cheerleading represent the program’s most rigorous level of competition, requiring a year-round commitment from athletes and their families. These teams are designed for those who wish to compete on a national stage, which involves traveling to various regional and out-of-state events throughout the season. The training focus is on mastering elite stunting, high-level tumbling, and complex choreography to prepare athletes for the demands of prestigious national events and future opportunities at the collegiate level. Placements for these teams are determined during the annual assessment period in May, where coaches evaluate each athlete’s current skills and long-term potential to ensure they are placed in the most appropriate division for their development.

Built Here…Through Cheer, to learn, to grow, to lead, and to serve. Our goal is to produce athletes who are fantastic performers on the mat and fantastic people, too. Our athlete development is based on three key principles that are modeled, reinforced, and expected as a program.
At Hot Shots, we’re not just building champions, we’re raising athletes to be servant leaders, learning, growing, leading, and serving through cheer.
